However, you may not copy or commercially exploit CA Homeschool Hub’s original wording, presentation, graphics, analysis, organization, downloadable resources, software, tools, code, or other legally protected expression.
The presence of content on a publicly accessible website does not place that content in the public domain and does not grant permission for copying, republication, resale, commercial exploitation, AI training, or unauthorized distribution.
Personal Homeschool Use License
CA Homeschool Hub grants individual parents and legal guardians a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use eligible free materials for their own household’s personal, noncommercial homeschooling.
Under this personal-use license, you may:

A separate license or written permission may be required when materials are used by a business, school, co-op, tutor, learning center, educational consultant, nonprofit organization, or other group.
Prohibited Commercial Use
Unless CA Homeschool Hub provides prior written permission or a separate written license, you may not use our protected content or materials to earn money, support a commercial service, attract customers, create a competing product, generate advertising revenue, or obtain another commercial benefit.
Prohibited commercial uses include, without limitation:
- Copying an article and posting it on another website, blog, newsletter, app, course, social-media account, or membership platform.
- Republishing our guides, charts, tables, comparisons, checklists, directories, or research.
- Copying charter-school profiles or funding information into another commercial directory or comparison website.

- Using our resources as bonuses, lead magnets, customer incentives, promotional gifts, or marketing materials for a business.
- Printing our materials and charging families to receive or use them.
- Translating our protected content and publishing, licensing, or selling the translated version.
- Changing the colors, fonts, graphics, formatting, title, layout, or a small amount of wording and claiming the resulting material as an original work.
- Using artificial intelligence, paraphrasing software, spinning tools, or human rewriting to generate substantially similar commercial content from our protected work.
- Removing watermarks, copyright notices, branding, source links, authorship information, or ownership notices.

You may not:
- Frame or embed an entire CA Homeschool Hub page so it appears to be part of another website.

Quotations and Fair Use
Applicable copyright law may permit limited use of copyrighted material for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. Whether a particular use qualifies as fair use depends on the specific facts and circumstances.
If you quote a brief portion of CA Homeschool Hub content, you should:
- Use only the amount reasonably necessary for your legitimate purpose.
- Place copied language in quotation marks or otherwise identify it clearly as a quotation.
- Credit CA Homeschool Hub as the source.
- Include a direct hyperlink to the original page when the use occurs online.
- Avoid reproducing the central value or a substantial portion of the work.
- Avoid using the quotation as a substitute for visiting or obtaining the original resource.
- Avoid presenting the quotation in a misleading or deceptive context.
There is no automatic rule permitting the use of a specific number of words, pages, images, or percentage of a copyrighted work. Nothing in these Legal Policies is intended to restrict rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including valid fair use.
Schools, Co-ops, Tutors and Organizations
The personal-use license does not automatically cover use by homeschool co-ops, tutors, teachers, microschools, learning centers, private schools, public schools, charter schools, educational consultants, businesses, associations, nonprofits, paid groups, or other organizations.
These individuals and organizations may share direct links to publicly available CA Homeschool Hub pages. However, they may not reproduce, distribute, upload, sell, package, teach from, or provide copies of protected materials without written permission or an applicable license.
Charging only for printing, supplies, administrative services, instruction, membership, or access does not convert commercial or organizational use into personal household use.
Contact CA Homeschool Hub before using our materials with clients, students, members, customers, or multiple households.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Use
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CA Homeschool Hub reserves its rights in its protected content and does not grant permission for unauthorized commercial artificial-intelligence development, automated harvesting, or machine-based republication.
Unless prior written permission is provided, you may not:
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, extract, download, or systematically collect protected website content through automated means.
- Use protected content to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, ground, evaluate, or improve a commercial artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.
- Add protected content to a commercial retrieval-augmented generation system, chatbot, answer engine, dataset, search product, or knowledge base.
- Use AI software to paraphrase, translate, summarize, remix, imitate, or reconstruct protected content for republication or commercial use.
- Use protected content to generate competing articles, databases, directories, profiles, calculators, tools, downloads, courses, or commercial products.
- Use automated systems to bypass access controls, rate limits, robots directives, watermarks, copyright notices, or technical restrictions.
- Present output derived substantially from our protected work as independently created original content.
- Use automated agents in a manner that places an unreasonable burden on the website or interferes with its operation.
General-purpose search-engine indexing that identifies our pages and sends visitors to the original website may be permitted, subject to our robots directives, technical controls, and other posted restrictions.
The absence of a technical block or the ability of an automated system to access a page does not constitute authorization, waiver, or consent to use protected content.
This section does not attempt to prohibit uses that are expressly permitted by applicable law.

CA Homeschool Hub may allow visitors to submit messages, corrections, reviews, directory information, suggestions, survey responses, comments, or other material.
You retain ownership of original material you submit. However, by voluntarily submitting material for publication or use on the website, you grant CA Homeschool Hub a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, reproduce, edit, format, display, publish, and use that material for the purpose for which it was submitted and for operating or improving the website.
You represent that:
